In this series of sculptures, I continue to work on the theme of the psychological flow of living being hidden under the skin of routine household affairs. A little man in a big world, in a big system of household rules. In this work, I wanted to show our fragility in this space of seemingly completely simple everyday actions: holding a mug, holding a fork, holding a mop... why can these simple actions at some point become unbearable? From what can the hand holding the usual coffee mug tremble slightly? Daily tasks would seem to be not very important, but if they are refused, they turn into a crushing, depriving of free breathing lump of routine. Today, when many people are forced to live in isolation in their homes, our fragility before the elements of everyday life is felt especially acutely.

Each of the sculptures was created according to the principle of applying a plaster cast on a hand performing one of the household actions with ordinary household items.

The second title of the sculpture series is “Domestic injury”.

The work was exhibited at the Zverev Center for Contemporary Art, some of the works in the series were successfully sold at an art auction and are in private collections.

At the moment, the works of the series are presented and available for purchase in a-s-t-r-a gallery
